June 2023. Princeton Foundation for Peace and Learning, working in the field of women empowerment since 2011, is proud to announce the launch of another initiative – Corporate Internship. These internship opportunities are geared to promote real world work experience for the college students as a bridge to their permanent placements in various corporations and organizations.
• A larger workforce: By assigning modest levels of responsibility to interns, employees can pursue creative or more advanced projects.
• Opportunities to cultivate existing employees as future managers: Helping teach and develop interns motivates existing employees and bolster their managerial/ leadership skills.
• A new perspective: Interns offer a fresh look at a company’s day-to-day business and can share ideas on latest technologies, techniques, and creative ideas for social media engagement.
• Positive image: Companies establish and grow their connections with communities, universities and colleges, increasing their visibility on campuses and ability to recruit other students.
• An employee candidate pool: Companies can select and develop future talent through internships and increase their staff retention rates, since many interns secure job offers after their internship ends. Former interns assimilate into the new role faster than an external hire.
Princeton Foundation has been financially supporting higher education for female students since 2011 covering their college tuition. In the current year, one hundred students were selected for the National Fellowship for Peace and Learning through an all-India competition. The winners represent more than 13 states and are admitted in various government colleges in India. So far, almost 300 fellowships have been awarded to girls with outstanding academic achievements and unwavering commitment to pursue higher education.
The Foundation has been launching various programs in a phased manner in accordance with the UN’s Girls Task Force Vision. In 2020, the foundation launched a mentorship program to cultivate the fellowship winners as socially responsible holistic human beings and future leaders of the world.
The internship program is launched in partnership with Certonce Inc, an organization that provides blockchain based solutions to universities.
