Princeton Foundation for Peace & Learning today sponsored the Hopewell Valley Parenting Conference – an event organized by HV Municipal Alliance, the HV Education Foundation, and the HV Regional School District.
The conference included multiple expert presentations to provide parents the training and education necessary to raise healthy, and socially responsible children. The conference was attended by more than 200 parents and included 15 different workshops for parents of school age kids on topics
including: Helping Children to Process Negative Emotions; Mental Health Trends in Middle and High Schoolers; Adolescent Substance Use; Current Social Experiences of our Youth; Adolescent Sexual Health at the National and Local Level; Parenting Styles and How They Impact Teens; Social Networking; Cyberbullying and the Internet; Parenting in the Digital Age; Reducing and Eliminating Stress using Emotional Freedom Technique or Acupressure; Mindfulness; Balance & Organization; to Our Youth; and various others.
PRINCETON FOUNDATION: We initiated our philanthropic work in the year 2011 in the field of Women Education & Empowerment by supporting girls from the underprivileged strata of the society in India to pursue their college education. Several girl students have completed their undergraduate college education and are now pursuing higher education or professional careers.
